I FINALLY turned 18 today!! Thank you to everyone who wished me on the 25th or via SMS/Friendster/Facebook.

I have to admit, my birthday this year was a lot more memorable than last year's. My classmates and my band mates actually prepared something for me! Not on my actual birthday but still.

25th January 2008, Friday, was Shao Wei's birthday. Since my birthday landed on a Sunday, I thought no one will actually celebrate or even remember. Apparently, almost everyone in my class has Friendster so the birthday reminder thing reminded them a week before. I didn't know though. When I got to the tables at the back of the canteen, I saw 2 cakes. Here I thought someone else had the same birthday as Shao or something. I thought everyone was celebrating Shao's and "someone else's" birthday until Apple told me to come stand with Shao. I was seriously dumbfounded but realised that I was that "someone else". Everyone sang "Happy Birthday" and then we blew out the candles. The funny thing is, Shao only had 2 big candles (20 years old) and I had like 1 big one and 8 other smaller candles (18 years old).

After the wishing and all, was the "take the candle holder out with your mouth" thing. My cake was supposed to be the jelly topping cake while Shao's was the whip cream chocolate cake. I knew that because of the jelly topping on my cake, none of the cake will get on my face. I was about to tell Shao to go first, when Fifi told to switch cakes!!... So I got the choco cake instead... When I was taking the thing out, Fifi smashed my face in the cake XD. Shao's face was smashed in the jelly cake too but his face was clean while mine was like white cream everywhere.

Cake fight came next. I think it all started with Fifi smashing the choco cake on Shao's face to make it even. It was chaos after that. Cakes flying, people creeping up behind people to smash cakes on their faces etc. Wish I had pictures to post up but my friends didn't send them to me yet.

So that was it for the celebration with my classmates part. Yes, I had to celebrate again with my band mates XD.

So after the boring band practice (yes, boring because not that many people actually turned up...), we rushed off to Mui Wen's secondary school to watch Liyana Lim perform. The performance overall was okay but the noisy people pissed me off XD. Haha so after the concert, we (Yvonne, Yi Zhen, Xian Hua, Mui Wen, Darren, Liyana, Darren's older sister and I) met at a MosBurger in some plaza. I think it was Tiong Bahru. Just when I was about to get something, Yvonne and Mui Wen suddenly went out and Yi Zhen and Liyana told me to accompany them to "shop" around. By the time we went back to Mos, there was another cake with the candles lit and all... So I had my 2nd birthday celebration at Mos with my Clarinet section. They gave me birthday gifts to me and all at like 11:30pm XD.

I'm grateful for having such kick-ass, caring, funny friends!! =D.

So, yeah. Thank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday and prepared a surprise party and all =D. I want to write more and all but I'm kinda outta time XD.

Happy New Year, AVP2, PU2 and Night Safari!

Okay let me begin this post by pointing out that there is a typo in the title of the previous post. Its supposed to be MERRY not MARRY XD.

Anyways, like 5 days ago, it was the end of year 2007. Lots of memories flashed past during the count down for me.
Memories like how I spent the first day of 2007 with Wei Jian, Yu Ting, Sharon, Zilah at Wei Jian's house. I remember I didn't sleep at all that day. Sharon, Yu Ting, and Wei Jian all did though. So on the first day of 2007, I had panda eyes, and was REALLY tired. Remember how we said we were the first ones to walk to Westmall? XD.
My birthday was also memorable in year 2007 because Wei Jian, Jin Yu, Sharon, and Yu Ting called me out to give me my birthday present XD. It was the red lens Oakley sunglass I wanted to get for Christmas in year 2006. Its such an expensive present that I didn't let people touch it at first XD. Thank alot for the shades guys! Will never forget! =D.
And then in year 2007, I went to a new school and met new friends. When I first went to MI (as in the first ever lesson), I was quite nervous since none of my Sec school friends were in the same class as me. I had Dina though, the FIRST ever friend I made in MI. I got to know her during the orientation since she was in the same OG as me; Hesper 3.
Knowing Dina on the first day was comforting since I had someone I knew to talk to XD. Later on the year, I got to know all my classmates. Other than Dina, the other 3 people I was close to during the first week of lessons were Kamal, Gerlaine and Apple =D. Gerlaine and Apple are the ones who "encouraged" me to eat more in year 2007 too. They still do XD. After them it was Tina! Who always asked me to teach her new words or phrases in Korean. I got to know Xia Ning who was REALLY close to all the Indian girls in my class like Aish, Vaani, Priya, Rajee, Nithiya*, etc. Next was Gracie and Cheryl on the bus. After knowing Gracie, it was the Chinese girs XD. Claudia, Kelly, Saw Wah, Jasmine, etc.
Haha other than that I remember doing all the flips, jumps, hand stands with Shao Wei, forming a "brotherhood" thing with Siva and Shane, forming another group thing with all the guys in our class, being called a Korean Mafia by Haresh because of my new hair style, being called a Korean Born American Bastard by Haresh LOL. I don't know why he added in the bastard part at the end XD.
Haha and then there are my band mates. FIRST one I ever knew was C.Y. who sat next to me during the band "get together" thing XD. Band back then was quite small so we had to join with the IJC band. Got to know Wei Lian, the greatest Clarinet player I have ever met thanks to the MI and IJC combined band. Although he took all the solo parts for first Clarinet, I still respected him. He was seriously good so he deserved it XD. I got to know my homie, Kim So Young Amy, better during band too! When I found out that there was another Korean IN THE SAME GRADE as me, I was seriously overjoyed! And when she said she was gonna join band, I was even more overjoyed XD. Wished she played the Clarinet but she played the Flute. The section I consider rivals of Clarinets XD.
After the MI/IJC concert, the band became a little bigger. With people like Yvonne and Yi Zhen joining the Clarinet section too. Near the end of like the 3rd term we performed at the first ever "Transcendence/MI Night" where lots of people show-cased their tallents. Our next performance was "Sleigh Ride" which took place near the end of the year. I got SO close to my Clarinet section through all the band practices we had before the concert day. Especially during the band camp. Our last concert was also memorable since Tae Hyung e hyung and Sae Hyung joined my family to watch me perform. Too bad the other 2 Signature park gang members (The 2 Miyauchi) didn't/couldn't come.
Near the end of the year, how can I forget all the movies I watched with my brothers Tae Hyung e hyung and Sae Hyung XD. We watched almost all good movies together and then spent time in E-Zone and Burger King afterwards. Things like how Tae Hyung e hyung beat Virtua Tennis 2 twice in one day, beating Puzzle Bubble twice a day also, screaming our ass off trying to dodge all the lasers in all the plane games, and finally making all the HILARIOUS jokes/stories that will definately make everyone ROFLMFAO-ing (Rolling on the floor laughing my(THEIR) fucking ass off). Some jokes will require people to first know Eleven and Three LOL. Memories of 2007 that I'll never forget unless I get amnesia or brain damage or something XD.
2007 was the year that I got to hang out with Chie alot too. I thought I got over her but I guess I was lying to myself. Yes Taka, I still do have feelings for her. You call yourself my brother and you don't know how I feel about your sister? LOL. 2007 was the year when Chie called me out for the FIRST ever time to play squash. December 3rd was the date. I made a little memo to myself on the calender because I was damn shocked when I saw her message. Its usually me who calls her out XD.
Anyways, that was year 2007 for me. A seriously good year. 7's my lucky number XD. There are stuffs that I didn't write like hanging out with Min, Kok, and Wei Jian at West Coast, etc BECAUSE it'll take too long... So sorry Min! XD.

Okay moving on the AVP2 which I recently watched with all the Lee brothers. It was the first movie I watched in 2008 too. The movie was better than the first one I guess. This time there were no alliances between each races. In the first movie, the main character girl made an alliance with the Predator against the Queen... WTF? Lol. And in the 2nd movie, there were lots of bloody scenes. AND there was PREDALIEN!! So damn... Er ugly, I mean cool XD. Some kick ass Predator technologies came out also. Like the pistol I used in the AVP game came out etc. Oh ya and there were some oral sex scenes between the Predalien and the hospital patients/pregnant women in the hospital XD. Yeah, thats about the movie... Lol as always, we went to E-Zone after the movie and screamed our ass off because of the plane game. Went down to Burger King next to eat and make jokes again, then we went home XD.

Sigh... Year 2008 January 2nd was a both sad and a happy day for me because I was going back to school. Going back to school for me meant two things... First, it meant I couldn't hang out as often with Tae Hyung e hyung, Sae Hyung and Chie... BUT I got to see my MI family (classmates AND band mates) again! I don't really mind studying so going to school to learn doesn't really bother me. This year, I'm Pre U 2. Which mean more homework, projects, tests, and more stress... Hope I do well this year!!

Last up on this LONG blog entry is the Night Safari trip with Chie, Jessie and Wesley. Jessie came back to Singapore on January 2nd 2008 so I decided to hang out with her on Friday 4th January. Since Jessie didn't see Chie for like a long time I called her along. Luckily, Chie could go out on that day. I met up with Chie first and took a combination of bus and MRT to the Chua Chu Kang station to board 927 to the night safari. While waiting, these two people approached us saying that to get to night safari, their bus was faster and free etc. I thought they were faking but they actually had the tickets to night safari and were selling them there. Indeed their "bus" was faster and the ticket price was the same too. AND it didn't feel awkward anymore when I was alone with Chie. Last time, I used to like touch my nose when I'm talking to her, or look away as soon as we make eye contact etc... Maybe thats why she ditched me for someone like Koki or Yusuke*... I was a total gayass fucktard asshole who had no dick etc. Guess I changed since this time I could like talk to Chie none stop XD. When we got to the night safari, the "native people" were dancing and were playing with fire. I LOVED how they extinguished the fire. They put the edge of the stick which was on fire in their mouth. And I LOVED how they blew out fire like how a flamethrower would with their mouth by spitting out gasoline. After they finished we found Jessie and her "friend" Wesley. Wesley was another ex-SASer who graduated 4 years ago. So he was like 2 years older than Tae Hyung e hyung. Now speaking of Jessie, she was more darker than last time I saw her XD. Probably too much tennis. Hmm the night safari was really fun. Especially when we went inside the cage thing with all the bats. Chie and Jessie were scared XD. Bats don't bother Wesley and I AT ALL so Wesley and I scared them XD. I saw lots of animals but couldn't take any pictures of them since it was dark and flash photography wasn't allowed. I found Wesley to be a pretty cool guy. Very friendly too.
My favourite part of the night safari thing was the tram ride. I sat next to Chie and had a hell of a time making fun of the tour guide with her XD. AND being amazed at the huge elephant, buffalo etc XD. Wesley and I made fun of all the animals there too.
Haha at the end of the day, we went to Jessie's place to collect my "present" from Jessie. Felt SO guilty since I didn't or couldn't get anything for her. Wanted to say her night safari ticket (which I paid for) was her present but she stuffed $32 in my hand saying "If you return this to me, I'll get really mad" etc. So I just took it XD.
At the end of the day, I kinda didn't want to send Chie home but being a good boi, I ESCORTED her to her lobby. I didn't really want to go home that day since I had so much fun XD. Being alone with Chie before we met Jessie will probably be one of the happiest moments in 2008 XD.
