First up, my first Korean friend from SAS, Wynn left Singapore for good last Monday... Didn't really get to hang out with him ever since I became lazy and decided to go to the nearby church (St. Mary's) and not the Korean Catholic church... I'm sure gonna miss him... He was generally close to my family because his parents and my parents were like "friends" and he liked to make fun of my brother alot... We always used to talk during mass about like random topics. Games, soccer, wrestling, school, and like bitch about others. Kyu Ho was there with us too but I lost contact with him long time ago -_-. At least I had dinner with Wynn on Sunday. Will and Da Yeon were there too. Hahneol joined us a bit later. It was hard seeing a friend for the first and last time... I was both happy and sad. Oh well, he said he was gonna visit us so I guess its not the last time. I wonder whether we will go on the Korean TV show, Happy Together when we grow like damn old XD.
Next up is the reunion with the SAS friends. Those I was close to/our gang only though. Tiffi, Shi Yu, Huei Yu, Chi Chi, Katherine, Da Yeon, Sunny, Will, Hahneol were all there. The meeting place was supposed to have been at Botanic Gardens but it was changed to Tiffi's house instead. Tiffi's driver picked me up at Balmoral Plaza at around 3:00pm. The meeting time was 2:30pm. People only starting coming in at like 3:45pm XD. Everyone was like shocked to see me. They were like "Wow... Is that JAMES?!?!" haha. Especially Tiffan, Sunny, Hahneol and Huei Yu. Can't blame them, its been like 3 - 4 years since they last saw me. Will said my accent sounded a little weird XD. Get this clear, my accent didn't change/get ruined XD. Something wrong with Will maybe cuz the others didn't complain. Had loads of fun there. Played Pictionary and watched DVDs which were not released in Singapore. Pictionary was awesome. Katherine's drawing "skills" and my team's guessing were fantastic until we got to the harder words... I remember Tiffan had to draw "House of God". So she drew a house and a cross on top of it. Everyone thought it was a cathedral, church, cross, etc. Hilarious. Oh, and I was taller than Sunny!! Like FINALLY!!!! He told me he got shorter because he ran too much haha. Whatever =P. Sunny was exactly how I remembered him to be. Will and Hahneol on the other hand, changed alot. Probably because I only knew their "nice" side? Haha. Too bad I didn't get to see Jeffrey, Lyndon, Cookie, Kelson, Edward Teonadi etc... Oh well, meeting my gang was good enough for me. Everyone matured both physically and intelectually haha. Would surely want to see them again before they start leaving like Wynn T_T...
Next up is Kung Fu Panda. Watched it with Hilmi, Joanna, So Young, Keng Guan and Yvonne at Vivo City. The movie is damn hilarious! It was even funnier cuz I sat next to Hilmi in the theatre. We were like lauging/talking so loud during the movie. The other people probably hated us. Anyways, not gonna give spoilers here to those who didn't catch the movie yet. Had dinner after the movie and went up to the Sky Park to chill and play those hand games haha. ABC, the rhythm game etc. So Young didn't join us though cuz she had to leave early -_-. We wanted to get ourselves a drink (well, at least I did) but none of us had that much money left after dinner and the movie. We started to talk about our most recent band concert too as we were listening to the recording of our concert on my MP3 player. Hilmi like spotted thousands of mistakes haha. Thats how bad we sound. I say, individually, we sound better XD. Anyways, had an awesome time there with them. Can't wait for next year's band camp or whatever. I'm so gonna invite Yvonne, Keng Guan and Hilmi to the camp too. They will be forever missed when they leave the band...
Okay, I'm kinda rushing this cuz my mom's about to reach home anytime now and when she does, I have to turn off the computer -_-. Last up is my chin injury... Here's what happened. I slipped forward (thank God) on my bathroom floor while showering and hit my chin hard on the basin... Thought there was nothing wrong at first until I saw the crimson red water which flowed down the drain. I seriously couldn't feel any pain at that time, only a bit of numbness. The cut was disgusting. 2cm in length, and about 0.8cm in width... I think I saw my bone as well cuz I saw something white sticking out. Despite the little accident, I had to go to school for a Project Work meeting. When my friends saw I was bleeding like crazy, they freaked out and told me to go see a doctor immediately XD. (Of course I put a big fat plaster, but the blood kinda leaked out -_-). I messaged my 3 brothers, and only Tae Hyung e hyung called me back to check on my status. He told me to go get it stitched immediately as well because the would could get infected. And so I did... At NUH... My parents brought me there. It was like the first time in 10 years visiting a major hospital. Previous time was when I was hospitalized back in 2nd grade. Had to wait for freaking 2 hours just for the freaking "operation". According to Tae Hyung e hyung, my wound could have got infected by then -_-. So after waiting for 2 hours, it was finally my turn. The stitching was damn fast though (to me). All they did was stick 2 needles on my chin, one next to the wound, and one directly in the middle of the cut. That hurt, but the pain only lasted for 2 seconds and then I couldn't feel shit. The doctor got to work straight away. She, yes SHE, actually tied the string shit so hard that I actually felt the cut closing up even though that area was numb. I had to do a total of 6 stitches, which is not bad. This was already a week ago. Today, I got the stitching off. It hurt a lot today. Thought the doctor accidently cut my skin... Anyways, thats all for this long entry... Its like putting events that happed in the past 3 weeks in this entry so it has to be long... School starting next week! Next Wednesday for me though... So sad!! Didn't even get to see all the people I miss!!...
Band chalet on the 1st of June was just like a regular barbecue outting minus the fun and the swimming pool. It would have been fun if we got to actually get together and cook though... We had nothing else to do while the food was being prepared so some of us (So Young, Shi Hua and I) decided to take a walk outside. We ended up in the kid's corner after seeing Yvonne and Keng playing there haha. My first ever birthday party in Korea was in "Play Time" (kid's corner with the slides and all). The kid's corner became a war zone when almost all the band members went there to play. We started throwing the plastic balls at each other. Hillarious. An arcade was also near by but they only had shit games... And Yvonne got her phone stolen by a group of boys I think. The person who took the phone is a fucking low life. Seriously... Ruined the whole "party" mood.
The new band committee members were also announced... CY clearly didn't like the fact that we didn't get to vote for our own members... THEY shouldn't have decided it by themselves...
Anyways, CY was super emo after that so Aaron, Farith* and I decided to accompany him to downtown east. Got ourselves a beer and headed off to the beach. Had a LONG talk (since CY was super emo) until Hilmi and gang arrived to join us. This is where the fun part of the band chalet began. Yvonne bought us vodka!! Or maybe Hilmi. Everyone (including Hilmi) except the Malays were drunk. People were fighting over the freaking bottle just to get a sip -_-. Jojo was super drunk and she was like shouting/singing super loud at like 1am XD. Super funny. Had a little trouble getting back to the camp cuz everyone was tipsy. Hilmi was being the responsible one despite the fact that he was super drunk and carried Jojo back haha.
When we got back, Su started telling ghost stories which were seriously freaky. Hilmi told us the army ghost story too which were like as scary as what Tae Hyung e hyung told me XD. Night life with friends is super kick ass!!
Heard my SAS friends graduated. Guess they're all gonna leave now huh? Except a few who has to stay in Singapore for NS.
Been a while since I last blogged... Didn't have the time to blog/was lazy haha.
First up, the MISB (Millenia Institute Symphonic Band) band concert on the 17th May, Siva's birthday. I have to say, even with the time constraints we had preparing for the concert, we didn't sound THAT bad... Lots of people critized about the band though haha. Like my friends XD. I think we deserve criticisms -_-. My only comment is that we (some people ESPECIALLY) need to practice hard. I don't really know about the other sections, but I heard lots of wrong notes from my Clarinet section... Thats the thing I was kinda disappointed about. I told them I didn't want to hear any wrong rhythms/notes but there it is... At least we sounded not bad for the easier songs... XD
Anyways, I feel like stopping now so I guess I'll update some other time XD.
